Vladimir Odinokikh - Teaching students from throughout New England

New January 2015:  Mr. Odinokikh is also teaching at Franklin Pierce University.
Mr. Odinokikh has taught students of varying backgrounds and interests.   His students have been accepted into a number of respected degree granting programs,  including:

  • The College of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Moscow;
  • Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut; 
  • The Hartt School of Music, Hartford, Connecticut;
  • College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Massachusetts
  • The Royal Conservatory of Ghent, Belgium
  • The North Bennet Street School (Piano Technology), Boston

Mr. Odinokikh has also taught at the college level and served as Concert Master and Coach at the Opera Institute of the Gnessin Institute in Moscow.​

Luis Castro Flores (Mexico)

2004 Winner of the Maria Clara Cullell International Piano Competition.  

Mr. Flores studied with Mr. Odinokikh for several years at the Conservatorio de las Rosas in Morelia, Mexico. Following receipt of his degree, Mr. Flores continued to seek out periodic coaching with Mr. Odinokikh on an individual, ad-hoc basis prior to winning the prestigious Cullell competition in 2004.

Miles' Wins include:

  • ​First Place, 2012 Stony Brook International Competition
  • A First Prize at the 2012 Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition 
  • A First Prize at the 2012 Williams Chorale Bacardi Fallon National competition
  • Accepted as one of 20 international participants in the Eastman Young Artist's International Piano Competition (2012), one of only eight American pianists accepted to compete.
Mr. Odinokikh is pleased to be able to share here the successes of two of his more gifted students.  Vladimir recognizes that not all students are destined or motivated to win competitions, but as a prize-winner himself, he understands how to support, nurture and motivate a student to achieve their full potential.
